Lucky 7: Must do things in Las Vegas

You feeling lucky? If you have traveled to Vegas many times or if this is your first time enjoy some of these on your trip. We certainly had fun wondering the Vegas Strip and surrounding areas.
1. Casinos. They are literally everywhere on the Vegas strip. Pretty much every hotel has at least one you can visit. We tried a few while in town and I have to say the Paris and The Venetian were our personal favorites. They offer complimentary drinks to anyone playing games. The Venetian has a Massage station, I recommend a $10 "quick fix" it is heavenly.
2. Enjoy lunch at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. There are two reasons for this first order the French Toast, it has Vanilla Cream, Carmelized Bananas and Toasted Pecans. Second request a seat by the windows for a view of the Bellagio fountain show.

Visiting Lake Mead, Nevada in my Mazda 6 #drivemazda

I was provided with a free rental to help facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are my own.
It is no secret I travel, a lot! I have been to almost the entire United States in the last year alone. Last week I had the pleasure of adding another few states and cities to that long list of places I have traveled. Las Vegas, Nevada is give or take a three day drive from my home so flying was really my option of choice. I enjoyed almost a week in the Mazda 6 and it was nothing but luxury. On my fist official day I drove it out to Lake Mead to see what this little hot car could do!
Think dessert lands for miles and then BAM mountains! Curvy roads mixed with high cliffs and boulders throughout the little towns.

I landed in San Diego, dropped my luggage off and decided to get right to exploring! I drove the rental to a local area with free parking and inviting gardens, Balboa Park.
Walking through the Spanish inspired buildings to a few gardens I heard were worth the walk.

Pawn Stars, Las Vegas

Thanks to Netflix I have been addicted to the show Pawn Stars. While in Las Vegas I decided to visit the store that I have been binge watching.
Patrons of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas owned by the Harrison family, who have been in the pawn business for 30 years. They house jewelry, historical objects, housewares to be sold, appraised and sold.

Botanical Building, Balboa Park CA

Very few places I have traveled in my life that felt like home the minute I step foot there. This is one of them! I have to say the Balboa Park reminds me of St. Augustine, Florida as it has similar Spanish influenced building dating back in history. Catch some breakfast at a side cart bistro and just enjoy the scenery before you start your exploration of the park.
The Botanical building was built for the 1915-16 Exposition, along with the adjacent Lily Pond and Lagoon, the historic building is one of the largest lath structures in the world.
