Netflix Picks for November #lbloggers

**I received a free subscription to Netflix for review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC Regulations.
Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern Collection has been our main months pick on Netflix. Andrew is a traveling food enthusiast who brings cultures together over non traditional dinning. "He steps out of his own comfort zone by giving us a taste of the world's different cultures as well as exotic foods in his own backyard". He doesn't suggest places to eat really but does mention places as he travels.
Since I knew I was heading to New York City I decided to see if he recommended any places. He named a few but one in particular stood out. The Roasted Nut cart on 42nd street! So, of course I had to pay a visit & try it out.
Yep, it was worth the walk from Port Authority. Several cart ventures line the streets & corners in NYC by Andrew is right this particular takes care in his small business. I walked away with 2 bags of Roasted Almonds! Love that show, if you enjoy traveling & food check it out!

Apple Fest, Busti NY

As I was writing my blog posts the other day, I found this one all ready to go BUT I never posted it!! Since I am still dealing with some personal issues I thought "hey why not" post it even though its a few months late....you guys/gals don't mind..... right???
Apple Fest, Busti NY is a Pioneer Crafts Festival, the original craft festival of southwestern New York. It happens every year and I thought it would be nice to enjoy one of the last remaining days we have a great weather before the snow moves in.Trust me when I say the snow could come tomorrow in WNY without warning! In true fashion I was not wearing any shoes during my time and I have to say that gravel and stones hurt your feet!
The craft booths number well over 100. The farmers' market includes apples, pumpkins, honey, maple products, and vegetables. We checked out a few vendors here and there along the path to the main focal point of the festival.
Color Wise Owls & Sugar Plum Fairy Soap were among our favorites!
There was just so many people it was really hard to "enjoy" the arts-n-crafts.
We shared some AMAZING Apple cider form the Busti Mill, got our stamps from different demonstrations. Mac wanted his photograph taken a few times so I jumped at the chance.
We also had the pleasure of seeing our friend the Apple Queen!
Overall it was nice, hot weather and great day!
Do you have festivals in your town/area?

Madame Tussauds in NYC Review #Sponsored

This past weekend we took a visit to Madame Tussauds on Broadway in New York City. Pretty easy to find & they are lite up by a bright sign with a hand at the very top. I will say there is usually a line outside the building so be prepared. We stopped in around 11am, snapped some photos whilst waiting in line for our tickets. If you ordered tickets online you are whisked to the V.I.P section, a little added perk!
Once you receive your tickets you start up a stairway to the elevators. They do have accessibility to elevators all the way up for those who need them but we took the stairs first. Once on the second platform you are herded into a glass elevator. This has an awesome view of Broadway as it moves upward. I would just keep in mind if you do not care for heights skip this step and use the service elevators because it is high up.
After you get off the elevator you are placed in a big ballroom with Wax figures! I was so focused on taking off my winter clothing, I almost ran into the wax figures because in this lighting, they look real.
Robert Pattinson....Twilight Fans, where are you??  I don't know about you but he's HOTT!!!
Throughout the museum you will see "ropes & poles have gone so guests can truly get up close and personal with A-list celebrities, sports legends, political heavyweights and historical icons, reliving times, events and moments that made the world talk about them".
So as you move around the establishment grab your friends, family and shoot some pictures with them. You can take some fun pictures & really play around. We sure did!
Then we came to "I Love Lucy" figure and I was super excited. As, always I have to stop, read the plaque next to her because I'm from where she grew up. I always like to see if they mention my town or not. Scanning, scanning, yep, there it is Jamestown NY!!
Did I mention you can play around with some of the great staged sets?
They have several throughout the facility. I will say this wax museum makes you a bit paranoid because the figures look so real. If you are planning a trip Save 15% Off Admission to Madame Tussauds in New York - Valid for up to 8 people here.
I have to stop here, they have an exhibit dedicated to 911 & I really appreciated this.
Marvel Super Heroes 4D Movie was something we also went & experienced. "Follow your favorite Super Heroes and experience a short 3D film with thrilling 4D special effects". This had special effects that I haven't experienced which was a nice surprise.
What we liked: We enjoyed the Life like wax figures.
You can go up to the figures, see the wrinkles, freckles and tattoos.
What could be improved: The wait time can be long so keep that in mind. I did wish they had maybe a tour available for fun facts & information.
Overall Rating: **** .
