Visiting Penn Dixie in Hamburg, NY

Yum
I love finding new activities to do with my family, while saving money. Groupon has built themselves to be a money saver website. I head to the Groupon Coupons tab and search by location for deals. They have over 55,000 free coupons from more than 9,000 retailers. These are all well know stores and businesses you already purchase from! Some of the daily deal retailers include Starbucks, Walgreens, Walmart, and Target
While on the website, one day, my friend found Penn Dixie, NY.
I am a member of US Family Guide. All opinions expressed are my own.
My son LOVES collecting rocks and finding fossils. Penn Dixie was a former cement quarry in where visitors can collect and keep Devonian Period fossils including trilobites.

9 Back to School Tips

Yum
Back to School time is fast approaching and in some Southern States already started. I remember the days when my son first started school and I was a wreck. I thought my little four year old just was not ready for classes and spending an entire day with out his Mom. Would his teacher know he loved to color, read and would stop for extra hugs and kisses? Would his teacher help him open his milk at lunch time or remind him it was "ok" to go to the restroom when needed? On second thought, maybe I was not ready for him to go to school just yet. Now, that my son is entering third grade my thoughts and feelings have changed. I now feel comfortable in sharing some words of wisdom that helped ME get ready for the school year!

What's the #Kindness Rock Challenge ?

Yum
Have you seen a bunch of painted rock photos flood your Facebook Feed? At first I saw a few here, there and thought that looks like fun. After which I saw a friend of mine post a photo in a Facebook Group. I was curious and joined the group. What I found was the Kindness Rock Challenge. Now we are hooked!
Basically, families paint rocks, hide them around different parks, venues and shops. Other families hunt for the hidden treasures. After which many rocks have a hashtag or tag to share on social media.
This way you can see how far the rocks travel.

My Nitro Circus Review

Yum
At a young age many parents present you with a bike. Teach you to ride until the training wheel come off and you can do so on your own. I remember riding my bike all over our neighborhood with friends. This was before Cell phones were a "thing" and parents encouraged you to be outside! As you bike some of your friend would do tricks. We all know someone like this in our life. You know the one that made you smile with these wacky moves and epic falls when they went horribly wrong. In my teen years we graduated to motorcycles. When the Nitro Circus was coming to our area I felt rather excited to share those thrills from my childhood with my son. He may not be into all these fancy tricks but he can appreciate the athleticism that goes into it!
Think bikes, tricks & grandstands!

I am a member of US Family Guide. I did not receive compensation for this post, but they did provided me with tickets to facilitate an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Expect to get there early. We shot for around an hour early and waited in line for around twenty minutes just to park. The merchandise line was manageable coming in so try and do this first! Also shoot for some sponsor tents, our location had "Napa" for example.

16 Tricks to Camping with Kids

Yum
Camping is one of those activities you either love as a passion or could not care less about. When I told my friends we were taking the boys for a family camping trip the reactions were priceless. I guess most people think traveling with children under a certain age automatically make you a bit "off your rocker"?! Personally, I find it rather easy to camp with kids and felt I should give some of the tricks we use. Maybe some of these will encourage you to take your kids camping!

Ways to Tent Camp Comfortably

Yum
This is a sponsored post in partnership with Bestway and BraVoMark. All opinions are mine.
Camping has become a pass time I enjoyed as a kid. Now my son enjoys it as much as I do. While some might not consider it relaxing, we love it. Honestly, tent camping is worth the effort if you have the right camping equipment. You just have to tackle the basics first. Food, water and shelter. I bring all of our food a prepare campfire meals throughout our stay!

Hidden Gems in Doylestown, PA

Yum
I have always been intrigued with the eerie tone of "hidden" things. After all it is the story behind objects and places that can make you jump from ordinary to fascinating. While visiting Doylestown P.A., we encounter so many "hidden things" that I felt they were worth mentioning. I am sure some of you are also interested in the spooky, creepy and history driven stories I am about to tell. Where do you look for such things while on vacation? I felt it only right to visit Henry Mercer's buildings as he helped found the area itself!
Some would consider Henry Chapman Mercer to be a hoarder. If you have wandered any of his locations you will soon realize why. He collected and saved everything. He did collect a lot of stuff in his lifetime and frankly I'm glad. It gives you a sense of History, kids can learn from these objects and it is downright interesting. Personally, I loved walking through the Mercer Museum. You can find hidden things, like these paw prints pictured above. They can be found at all three locations... (Hint: Great activity for kids to participate in).
The crafted Moravian titles for instance, are adorned on the walls, ceilings, floors could easily be marked as a hidden object. Some create themes, spell out Latin phrases or are part of a collection masterpiece.

What you need:
Velveeta Cheese black
Half & Half
Bacon (optional)
Extra Sharp cheese

Boil your pasta as the box instructs. While that is happening fry up some bacon. I just leave the bacon grease once they are done  in the pan.
