Yum
The days of princess pink head bands and choosing outfits are long gone. It seems only yesterday I was in the hospital hold Makenzey and anticipating what life would be like with the first girl in our entire family. In a blink of an eye we have moved into the fabulous toddler age consisting of walking, talking and venturing the start of potty training.
This post and giveaway were made possible by iConnect and Pampers Easy Ups. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.
This week we enjoyed a fabulous gift for her to start off the Potty training with a wonderful Princess Bang! She was a little leering about opening her gift since none of the other kiddos got a fun box to unravel. After opening though the Pamper Easy Ups have become fun accessory she is very eager to wear. Want to see her cute unboxing video?

Travel: Single Island Shores

Yum
I have heard so many great things about the Watkins Glen area. Far away from the hustle and bustle you will find Single Island ShoresWe all need to rest, relax and unplug! A cabin in the woods sounded like a great idea until it came time to pack. What would I need? I scanned their website saw a few photos and they included essentials. Phew, we wouldn't be totally ruffing it then.
As I pulled down the long driveway I was taken back by what I saw. "Cabin in the woods"- that is what I read. This was not at all what we expected, in such a fabulous way! Single Island Shores sets alongside the banks of the Seneca Lake with NEWLY constructed LUXURY cottages. I could not get out of my car fast enough to take it all in and start to explore.

Weekend in NYC

Yum
Small trips have really taken over our Summer this year. Getting out of town for a weekend can be so relaxing and fun I truly recommend it! I had some work to do in the city which is about 6 hours from where we live. Such a trip can take a toll if you are not prepared! Here are some great suggestions for a weekend in NYC.
When I stay for an extended period I often stay in surrounding areas (Secaucus, NJ) and then ride the tram or train in town. This helps save money on accommodations and we do not have to drive in downtown NYC. Since this was a short trip I decided to stay near my work and any activities we would be doing. Try the Library hotel! It is conveniently located near Bryant Park, the library and a short walk to Broadway and Times Square! They are stacked with books, offer complimentary breakfast and are an overall luxury experience for those long walking days whilst in the city.

My Summer Mom Hack: HP Instant Ink

Yum
HP has been my go-to Mom hack for the Summer! I signed up for the HP Instant Ink program and never looked back...
The kiddos birthdays are during the summer along with other family members. It is the season of weddings, family reunions, social parties and the occasional graduation party! I cannot imagine having to go to the store and constantly buy supplies, cards, invites, photo inspired gifts now that I have been reaping the benefits of completing all this from the comforts of my OWN home!
What is HP Instant Ink you ask? A convenient service that keeps track of your printer ink levels and sends ink when you are low accordingly. I choose the $2.99 a month plan (they have several different choices). In my head I broke it down like so:
$2.99 a month X 12 Months= $35.88 a year
This is less than ONE of my printer cartridges in the store! Not to mention the gas to and from to get ink when we are "low" or out of ink.

Build a Harry Potter- Golden Snitch & Dobby using IncrediBuilds

Yum
Where are my like minded Harry Potter fans?? We have been avid Harry Potter fans for a while now. It is no surprise when we saw these model kits by IncrediBuilds we had to try them out and share our experiences. These kits includes everything you need to create your own customized wood model. The first one we got was this Golden Snitch!
I received a free product to facilitate my review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC Regulations.

4 Places to Dine in Watkins Glenn, NY

Yum

We had the pleasure of visiting a new area in Western New York called Watkins Glen. Many of you NASCAR and racing fans will have heard of this place, as it has hosted many races throughout the years. While in town we experienced many types of cuisine and I wanted to share some with you! From fancy business attire to casual there is something here for everyone.
1. Nickel’s Pit Barbeque- Run by a fellow Western New Yorker, Nick, he creates BBQ at it’s finest. The kitchen and prep areas inside are open to allow you to see how everything is made.  The open concept is a great conversation starter as since it is something you just do not see everyday. From Brisket, Ribs to Chicken wings, baked beans and fries there is a little something for everyone! I would recommend the Chipotle Honey Chicken wings. The flavoring is sweet with a bit of tang and just the right amount of spices. If you are into antiques, BBQ and a good time this is a great place to visit.

9 Back to School Tips + Crayola GIVEAWAY

Yum
I received a fabulous products from Crayola to facilitate my post. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC Regulations.
Back to School time is fast approaching and in some Southern States already started. I remember the says when my son first started school and I was a wreck. I thought my little four year old just was not ready for classes and spending an entire day with out his Mom. Would his teacher know he loved to color, read and would stop for extra hugs and kisses? Would his teacher help him open his milk at lunch time or remind him it was "ok" to go to the restroom when needed? On second thought maybe I was not ready for him to go to school just yet. Now, that my son is entering second grade my thoughts and feelings have changed. I can now share some of my wisdom and advice to help new parents and first time school goers.
1. Take those cheesy first day photos. I know they are cheesy and EVERYONE does them but so what?  Your child grows in a blink of an eye and those photos are wonderful memories to hold on to and look back on.
2. Be a present parent. Go to open house and meet your child's teacher. Walk the halls, find their locker and get acquainted with the area. This helps so much with any anxiety you might be having with leaving your child there. It also opens the communication up between you and your child's teacher, HUGE deal!!!!
3. Get a schedule in motion. I had the privilege of being a stay at home Mom. This really helped to get him ready and to school on time BUT we had a schedule. As your child grows they need this stability and to learn how to

Pirate Themed Party using Netflix #streamteam

Yum
Every year we have a HUGE birthday party for my son. This year we went back and forth over the exact theme he wanted. He loves Pirates since he was young watching Jake and the Never Land Pirates on Netflix. After visiting Disney World this year he fell in love with Captain Jack Sparrow! It seemed only fitting we combined his favorite shows on Netflix and create a theme based on them!

Enjoy Watkins Glen, New York

Yum
"You get educated by traveling". ~Solange Knowles
Enjoy Hector Falls
Part of being a traveler is experiencing new places. This past weekend we ventured to Watkins Glen, New York for the first time. It is located in the western part of the state accommodating thousands of people every season for Camping, Hiking and Racing. There are so many great things to visit, experience and do here are just a few! I am sure I will add more to my list the more we visit.
We decided to enjoy the comforts of a newly remodeled lakefront cabin at Single Island Shores. There are several Bed and Breakfasts throughout the Wine trail but many do not allow children. Enjoying a completely furnished cabin was so convenient with my family. We enjoyed coffee on the deck over looking Lake Seneca or sunsets at night. These cabins are so incredibly welcoming you will not want to leave once you stay a night! Enjoy luxury towels and down comforters for a restful night sleep after walking the wine trails and State parks!

Last minute trip with Groupon

Yum

Today has been rather exciting around here! My friends, who home school and travel the world in their RV, have finally pulled into a campsite near us in New York. After following their travels from Tennessee up the East coast I am so excited to have them here with us. What do you show people who have never been to your town? Talk about pressure, luckily for me, I have Groupon to back me up. I quickly typed in our surrounding areas and found tons of places to eat and activities to go and do for inexpensive!
This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.
